Asshat alert: Shia LaBeouf can make you feel less terrible

If you're like me, you say dumb things all day, every day. Luckily, the press doesn't report it. This is not so for actor asshat Shia LaBeouf.

Indiana Jones sucks 
LaBeouf got his big break in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, then said the movie sucked. "When you drop the ball, you drop the ball," he said at the time.

Han Solo's got my back
Asshat then tells Aaron Gell at Details that Harrison Ford backed him up on his Crystal Skull critique. According to a Details cover story:

"Ford recalls the conversation differently. "I think I told him he was a fucking idiot.""

The Megan Fox affair
In the same interview, LaBeouf is asked if he had an affair with his Transformers co-star Megan Fox:

"LaBeouf nods affirmatively. "...But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."

When I inquire about Fox's status at the time with her longtime boyfriend, Brian Austin Green, LaBeouf replies, "I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. . . ."—repeating the phrase exactly 12 times with various intonations, as if trying to get it just right.

Finally, he says, "It was what it was.""

I cringe for Shia LaBeouf. But the terrible things he says make me feel less terrible about the terrible things I say.
